About FuelFacts

FuelFacts answers one question people ask all the time and rarely get a straight answer to: does my car take premium or regular gas? — plus what it really gets for MPG and what it costs to fuel for a year.

Every number comes from the U.S. EPA / DOE FuelEconomy.gov dataset, which covers 49,927 car trims from 1984 to 2027. The data is public domain. We don't generate or estimate any figures ourselves — we present the EPA's, with the date we pulled them.
